How to put Instagram Reels on your Tiendanube store

The step by step to bring your brand's Reels into the store, with the product connected and added to the cart without leaving the video. No code and no theme edits.

The Reels a brand already produces are the most ready-made content there is for the store. They show the piece being worn, in motion, with the brand's identity. On Instagram they build desire. In the store, with the product connected, the shopper watches and buys in the same place.

That is how the brands leading online fashion use the same video twice. Below is the step by step with Nuvem Video Commerce, an app built exclusively for Tiendanube.

Step by step

1. Install Nuvem Video Commerce and connect the store

The app is in the Tiendanube app store, with a free trial and no card. Setup has three steps: connect the store, turn on Google Tag Manager, which is optional and gets videos live in seconds, and let our AI analyze the home, product and category pages to confirm the player is installed.

2. Upload the Reels files

Use the original file of each Reels, the one in your phone gallery or the one exported from your editor. It has better quality than a copy downloaded from Instagram. Each upload takes up to 10 videos, up to 500 MB each, and they all stay in your gallery for as many placements as you want.

3. Connect the products in each video

In the new placement, pick the videos and set which products appear in each one. That is what turns a Reels into a storefront: the product shows next to the video and goes to the cart without the shopper stopping playback.

4. Pick the layout and where it shows

Choose how the videos appear and on which pages and spots of the store. Once you confirm, the placement goes live, and you can edit, pause or swap the videos whenever you want.

Which layout to use on each page

  • Carousel and Floating Carousel: A video strip between sections of the home, category or product page: before or after featured, new arrivals, sale, newsletter or before the footer, depending on your theme's sections. Good for a new collection or a drop.
  • Mini Carousel and Mini Stories: Right below the buy button on the product page. It is where the Reels of the piece being worn answers the question at decision time.
  • Floating and Circular Floating: A thumbnail pinned to the bottom right or left corner, on the pages you choose. It opens the video on tap and follows the shopper while she browses.

How to choose the Reels

  • On the product page, the Reels of that piece. A shopper who got there wants to see the fit of what she is about to buy.
  • On the home page, the Reels of the current collection or drop, in the order you want her to discover the pieces.
  • Connect the exact product shown in the video. If the Reels shows a full look, connect every piece of it.
